Canadian Digital Adoption Plan (CDAP)
Grant by the Federal Government
A: Benefits of the CDAP Grant:
- $ 100,000 loan at 0 % interest rate fast tracked with no fees or hidden charges for 6 years. (See D below for eligible costs).
- Wage subsidy for $ 7,300 for the implementation of the Digital Adoption Plan. A post-secondary student or recent graduate (within 2 years) aged 18-30, to support the company's digital transformation.
- Reimbursement of 90% of consulting fees for a Digital Adoption Plan up to $ 15,000.
B: Eligibility to apply:
- Canadian for-profit private businesses with at least 1 employee (less than 500).
- Revenue of more than $ 500,000 (and less than $100,000,000) in one of the preceding three years.
- The grant is issued on a first come first served basis till funds lapse.
C: In-eligibility:
- Publicly listed, government owned, multi-national, charity or not-for-profit businesses.
D: Eligible Costs Covered under the interest free loan:
The loan covers items directly related to the digital plan. Some examples are:
- Acquiring IT equipment (Servers, Security cameras, storage devices etc.)
- Installation of new technologies (Automation solutions, Accounting software, ERP, inventory management, cloud solutions, Cyber Security solutions etc.)
- Updating and/or expanding IT equipment (Computers and networks etc.)
- Training staff on onboarded technologies.
- Materials and support services directly related to onboarding the technology.
- Further advisory services on particular aspects of the digital adoption plan.
